if this sounds like you
Lets seeYOU KNOW HOW TO FUNCTION
Probably exceptionally well. You're the person other people rely on. You've read the books, you know your attachment style, you may have even been to therapy before. You've listened to the podcasts. You're not new to any of this.
Sex happens when it happens, and it’s mostly OK.
Some weeks you feel competent and almost content.
Some weeks you feel like a stranger to yourself.
The desire - sexual, creative, vocational, all of it - has dimmed.
You don't know how to bring it up without sounding ungrateful for a life you genuinely love
(most of the time).
Despite that, something still feels off.
Who I work withMost of the women who find me are high-functioning, sometimes raising kids, often running careers and households and holding up the spinning plates of everyone in the family.
They've spent years being the one who handles things, and the self that handles things has crowded out the self that wants things.
The desire problem, when we follow it down, is rarely just a sex problem.
It's a vitality problem.
How it worksTherapy with me is integrative, which is a word that gets thrown around enough now that it probably deserves a definition.
For me, it means:
We work with the body and the nervous system as much as we work with your story, because physiology and psychology are one system.
-
Clinical work on desire, arousal, intimacy, and the erotic life of long partnerships
-
Nervous system regulation, lifestyle, embodiment, and how physiology shapes psychology
-
how your patterns make sense given your context, history, and the people you're in it with
-
what you actually want a life to be, underneath all the shoulds
